Total effect of several projects has lead to optimization of production and supply chain as well as significant cost savings. Implemented improvements accomplish well Hartwall’s strategy of environmental responsibility and have gained clear environmental benefits by reduced CO2-emissions.
Background and contents of the project
Hartwall has grown by business acquisitions. Goal of the projects made during two decades has been to develop production and distribution strategies.
Allocation of resources in production, warehouses, terminals and distribution equipment was designed and executed based on production and supply chain optimization. Distribution concepts were developed during projects and Hartwall was supported in implementation.
A cost-based tool (Oracle Strategic Network Optimization) was used in optimization of the structure.
